David Hendricks, MA, LCPC received his master’s degree in clinical psychology from TIU. He began his career at the counseling center in Crystal Lake where he worked exclusively with adolescents dealing with anger management and adjustment issues with divorce. Later, he broadened his experiences working with families, couples and adults at the Village of Schaumburg Family Counseling Center. It was here that David began to deepen his clinical training working side by side with clients struggling with marriage, parenting, anger management, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and communication.
David and his wife have been married for 14 years and reside in the western suburbs with their son. In his spare time you will find him driving around Chicago looking for: used guitar gear, books, and a perfectly brewed cup of coffee.
David’s Approach to Therapy
I believe that good therapy begins relationally. I find this process works best through the lens of authenticity, trust, hope and humor. There is deep satisfaction providing a safe environment for clients working through difficulties, yet still providing a sense of optimism and healing. Here at Alcorn & Allison, I enjoy working with a variety of clients hoping to bring the highest level of professional excellence to make as qualitative and as quantitative an impact as I can.
