Jennifer’s Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy includes providing a space where clients can safely address complex and often painful life situations. Individuals, couples, and even families can find themselves in a place of distress. I believe becoming unstuck is most successful when we partner with another who can provide empathic support and guidance.
Therapeutic journeys can be quite different for each person and family. Therefore, I work together with my clients to address their unique goals and personal needs. As humans, we all develop ways of viewing ourselves and others. Often, we develop patterns of thinking and feeling that keep us from experiencing genuine joy, peace of mind, and fulfilling relationships. I value therapy that allows clients to express deeper pain and struggles that may be difficult to process with friends or family. Together we can glean insight into clients’ genuine needs. It is from this place that we can make decisions from a place of authenticity. In my experience, the ability to understand our thoughts, feelings, and needs is the primary path in having joy, purpose, and relational fulfillment.
